Job Description

Work hard. Have fun. Make history.

Are you passionate about getting hands on with the intersection of Cloud Computing, Data analytics, Security and Compliance?

Join Infrastructure Lifecycle Management team in Amazon's Business Data Technologies to build automated serverless solutions that will enable Amazon service teams to source data for their analytical, business, financial and audit requirements while providing secure mechanisms for access management, auditing and monitoring. We ensure increased database security by standardizing the database access authorization model and empower service teams to adopt into Amazon's internal data lake ecosystem. Our solutions are built on different AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EMR, Redshift, DynamoDB, SWF, SQS and SNS. We provide reliable insights over terabytes of data, collecting resource information of highly distributed systems across Amazon and enable data driven decision making.

We are looking for software engineers who can bring in their experience and fresh ideas to design and build large-scale systems with global impact in areas of big data analytics, machine learning, distributed cloud computing, massive scale architecture design and data engineering. You will develop applications to optimize infrastructure operations/management, improve user productivity, and secure databases.

What does it take to succeed in this role?

You need to be creative, responsible, and able to dig deep into emerging serverless AWS technologies. You will have to think about business opportunities, operational issues, architectural diagrams, and the customer perspective in the source of a single conversation. You need to have a deep mastery of programming languages, distributed system design, serverless computing and performance engineering. Our team members thrive in a hands-on environment where everyone actively participates in product definition, technical architecture review, iterative development, code review, and operations.

Our customers are innovators including machine learning specialists, data engineers, business analysts and privacy and security specialists, and you will have the chance to work with them to understand their challenges and design new offerings. Together, we'll shape not just our own products, but the direction of the industry.
