The Selection team in SCOT (Supply Chain Optimization Technology) builds large distributed services that make inventory selection decisions for Amazon's supply chain WW. At Amazon, decisions start and end with the customer. This mindset has led the SCOT organization to build innovative technical solutions to drive Amazon's supply chain and make products customers want available as quickly as possible. With a supply chain as complex as Amazon, the smallest of changes can have a profound impact on the end customer experience.
We're looking for exceptional software engineers to define, design, and build the next generation solution for how Amazon manages its inventory. In this job you will apply core software engineering skills on a daily basis. In this role expect to:
* · Work with business partners to understand customer requirements and own software development life cycle end to end including design, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance. * · Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture. * · Develop large-scale cloud-based distributed services with millisecond latency and ultra-high transactional volumes * · Work with AWS technologies such as S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, Redshift, EMR and more. * · Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products. * · Mentor junior development engineers. * Watch this video for more on SCOT: http://bit.ly/amazon-scot
