Overview:

Agency Securities Lending (ASL) is a market-facing business lending equity and fixed income securities on behalf of large institutional clients. The ASL technology team develops front-to-back Information Technology solutions for the ASL business line, encompassing inventory management, trade capture and processing, and client reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

* Developing source code in accordance with requirements specified and makes recommendations for further enhancements/solutions
* Participating and resolving findings in reviews (4 eyes principle) of developed source code
* Verifying developed software components by Unit testing and Test-Driven Development
* Develops any new software modules with full test automation
* Ensuring that all code changes are tracked and recorded using Jiran and git/bitbucket through the groups change management process and that development is scheduled and approved
* Providing release deployments on non-Production environments
* Supporting creation of Software Product Training Materials, Software Product User Guides, and Software Product Deployment Instructions
* Performing technical change requests scheduled according to Release Management
* Collaborating with Functional Analysts and technical Specialists to complete work

Skills & Qualifications:

* A detailed background of programming in Java
* Solid experience using Relational databases
* Exposure to Javascript Hypertext Markup Language 5/ Cascading Style Sheets for front-end development
* Experience with Angular/React is beneficial
* Demonstration of ability to embrace new technologies
* Demonstration of embracing different Software Development Life Cycle/working practices
* Financial markets knowledge useful - particularly securities financing or repo
* Strong analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrixed organisations
