Job Description

ASRC Federal provides cutting edge engineering, development, and analytical systems to warfighters and tactical decision-makers in the DoD. We develop solutions for data exploitation as a means to compress decision-making chains, and provide timely and authoritative decision support.

Responsibilities:

Work in a collaborative team using agile development methodology, performing the following tasks:

* Performs subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, subsystem and system integration, and testing.
* Participates in software requirements review, preliminary and critical design reviews, integration readiness review, and software acceptance reviews.
* Researches problems and develops solutions

Description:This requisition is for an experienced professional with experience with at least one of the following languages: C, C++, and Java.

Candidates required to have an active TS/SCI clearance

Description:Work on a family of programs that employ the latest Microsoft technologies and PC hardware. Design and develop enhancements and bug fixes to various software systems. Software systems supported include both HMIs and services. Experience with C++ is required, preferably in a Microsoft Windows environment using MS Visual Studio. Other languages used include Java and C#.

Duties to include message parser development, XML schema development, network protocol integration, shell scripting development, Software Development and Implementation, Software Test.

Cyber Security background would be desired but not a required skillset.

Candidate must work well in a high paced team environment utilizing software methodologies and processes.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications:

Proficiency with one or more of the following software languages:

C, C++, Java

Software Development Lifecycle experience

Experience:

* 2-5 years experience in Real time mission critical development, maintenance, or support in an Open/Layered Architecture Environment; Operating Environments; Model-based tools; Information Assurance; Tools Development; Safety Analysis; Real-Time System Data Analysis; Problem Analysis; System Integration.
* Experience with Object Oriented design/development including the employment of Design Patterns to facilitate the utilization of software insulation techniques and plugins
* 1+ years of experience developing software with C++ and/or Java. Experience with Python and Bash a plus.
* Experience working with the Windows, Solaris, and LINUX environments.
* Experience developing Solaris, and other variants of UNIX scripts.
* Strong skills with MS Office and Integrated Development Environments (IDE) such as Eclipse.
* Familiar with UML syntax and its use.
* Familiar with the xUnit framework, especially JUnit and CppUnitLite.
* Familiar with driver-based and automated test environments
* Knowledge of low level system performance monitoring and analysis.
* Experience with CMMI life cycle processes and procedures.
* US Citizenship in order to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Experience with the following tools are considered a plus:

* GIT (Version Control software)

Education:

Bachelors degree (in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field) or equivalent related work experience.
