Total Wine & More is looking for a Software Developer motivated by solving real-world problems to join our information technology team. Our work is typically focused on implementing performant and scalable algorithms in backend web services to support a variety of functions to help run our business. We value object-oriented and database design skills to produce scalable,, and maintainable software. We predominately use Microsoft .Net and Microsoft SQL Server. The primary responsibilities of the Software Developer role are to develop software applications and test automations based on functional requirements and technical specifications. Software developers work collaboratively with business analysts to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical designs. Additionally, software developers develop test cases and automated tests to software is delivered. The Total Wine and More Information Technology team is growing and we are driving value through technology throughout our business. You will report to the Director, Software Development.

You will

* Consult with business analysts and end-users to prototype, implement, refine, and test applications to implement solutions for business problems
* Develop object-oriented applications, using.NET and C#
* Develop unit tests and automated testing processes in .NET and C#
* Develop SQL, scalable web services, and user interfaces
* Report building using Microsoft Reporting Services
* Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs
* Follow development practices established by lead developers

You will come with

* 1+ years of experience developing software
* Bachelor's degree in technology or related field
* Experience developing .Net/C# or similar programming language
* Working knowledge of object-oriented concepts
* Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server Report Services and writing SQL querie
* Working knowledge of software design patterns
* Experience working within short development cycles using agile (ex: Scrum) methods
* Experience with test automation
* Experience with test-driven-design (TDD)
* Experience with Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server or Azure DevOp
