We have several exciting opportunities for Solutions Business Manager (SBM) Application Developers to support a government contract in McLean, VA. Position will require local travel to customer site in Washington D.C.

Responsibilities

The primary duties of this position are:

* Develop and implement solutions for Solutions Business Manager (formerly Serena Business Manager) applications. Perform coding, testing, integration and documentation activities for new software solutions and defect releases.
* Provide on-going management, monitoring and status reporting of system health
* Perform testing of software modifications for each release. Test applications when there are scheduled changes to system interfaces or the infrastructure and with scheduled disaster recovery testing.
* Maintain documentation for each application and coordinate updates of application documentation for each release
* Become familiar with the Life Cycle Management Methodology (LMM) and SDLC Milestones and gates required for emergency release process, as well as O&M Release process

Qualifications

Must be a US Citizen to obtain clearance required for this role.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent and 3 years of experience.
* Development experience - SBM, JavaScript
* System testing
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

* Experience with Solution Business Manager (SBM)
* Attention to detail
* Critical thinking, problem-solving and eager to learn
* Excellent customer service skills
* Willingness to support occasional off-hours testing support during releases/patch upgrades as needed
* Experienced in problem identification, assisting with resolution, categorizing and prioritizing of application defects
* Ability to coordinate activities among different applications and releases to assist in release management

Preferred Skills:

* Experience working in development and O&M environments
* Experience working with Service Support Manager (SSM)
* Familiarity with Rational Clear Quest, Rational Clear Case
* Experience in writing technical specifications
