Job Description

Under the general direction of the Manager, Processing and Interface Development, the software engineer is responsible for processing data, developing and maintaining software scripts and programs within the development area of InfoDive which control, extract, and transform healthcare data to be used in analytics.

* Troubleshoot and maintain software scripts and programs


* Process client data accurately and on time.


* Recommend software improvements and upgrades for optional performance of applications.


* Collaborate with IT to optimize operating environment


* Communicate technical information to non-technical users when needed


* Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Healthcare Information, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field


* 5 years programming using ETL tools


* Must have experience managing large datasets and performing advanced analytics (i.e. Excel modeling, Access, SQL Server)


* Experience using Dimensional Insight's The Diver Solution Product Suite preferred


* Strong quantitative skills; math / computer science


* Strong communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts to less technical users


* Innovative thinker and problem-solver; capable of developing new and creative ways of solving complex problems using data


* Strong work and time management skills; able to work effectively and independently under tight timelines


* Experience in data mining techniques, and knowing when their use is appropriate


* Experience with healthcare data preferred


* Analytical Skills: Ability to work with large amounts of data


* Ability to present complex data, findings, ideas, and/or information to enable understanding and take action.


* Problem Solving and Critical Thinking: Ability to review the data for trends, drawing logical conclusions based on these findings


* Attention to Detail: Vigilant in precision of data analysis to draw the correct conclusion of findings
