Job Description

Responsibilities

* Background in software development (e.g. C++, Java, Python, Ruby, Node)
* Opportunity to work occasionally from home
* Write scripts and bots to help manage the market
* Assist with question management (ETL, reporting)
* Assist participant support / helpdesk
* Monitor for suspicious trading activity
* You will also support users writing trading bots
* Write trading bots for arbitrage/management tasks that are not handled in the core software. These will ideally become part of an open-source toolkit for working with this market engine
* Bot management may require implementing a separate bot layer which enforces some rules of engagement, perhaps as an AWS Lambda service

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* Three (3) years' experience (or demonstrated expertise) with team software development including
* Competence with Python web programming
* Competence to write and managing bots using a REST API
* Competence with mathematical programming, scheduling, optimization
* Competence with open-source or collaborative software development
* Familiarity with R&D

Preferred Qualifications:

* Familiar with crowd sourcing
* Familiarity with prediction markets
* Familiarity with Bayesian networks
* Experience with ticket tracking or helpdesk software or processes
* Unit testing and continuous integration
* Familiarity with Agile software development practices
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office365, Microsoft Teams, or equivalent platforms
* Bachelor of Science plus three (3) to four (4) years of experience, Masters Degree with two (2) years of experience or High School Diploma with nine (9) years of experience

Clearance

Clearance: Candidates must be clearable. Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
