About the teams

At FISTM Front Arena in Stockholm we have been building systems for financial trading, risk management and position control for 30 years. Our systems enable banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions make critical decisions with confidence, execute their orders and follow up their positions independent of the asset class: stocks, commodities, rates or FX. Whether the trade is done through an exchange or over the counter, we've got it covered. But that's just part of the story. In short, we support the whole electronic trading process from sell-side to buy-side and front-to-back.

What you will be doing

As a developer in our Electronic Trading team you will be challenged with the designing and development of both new and current solutions that enable our clients to perform state-of-the-art trading towards exchanges all around the world. The development is done using C++11/14/17, but also in our in-house programming language Arena Data Flow Language which is specialized for high performance financial calculations. You will work closely together with both junior developers and senior experts in the FinTech field. Your work will be in direct contact with our clients such as banks and hedge funds world-wide and your impact on their ability to conduct trading will matter.

We work in an agile process together with 10 development teams on one large software solution and we can offer you a chance to learn how large-scale software development is managed and achieved.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

* to further enhance our algorithmic trading solutions,
* help us in solving low-latency issues for our automatic market making tools,
* partake in our social, friendly and diverse office culture,
* assist our clients in tailoring our software solution to a trader's specific needs,
* innovate and develop new ways of supporting market making of financial instruments in all asset classes.

What you bring

As a candidate for this role you are required to have:

* M Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, Industrial Engineering and Management or similar degree.
* 0-5 years of experience in system development.
* Knowledge in C++ is a requirement.
* An interest in financial markets (knowledge is not mandatory).
* A great interest in developing sustainable solutions with focus on quality and performance.
* Have a big appetite for learning and like sharing your own knowledge with others.

Added bonus if you:

* Have worked with unit testing (GoogleTest or other).
* Have knowledge of modern C++ standards such as C++11, C++14 or C++17.
* Have experience using MS Visual Studio.
* Have experience coding in Python.
* Are not afraid of challenging your colleagues in their mindset.
