Job Description

ActioNet has an upcoming opportunity for a Senior Software Developer/Applications Engineer requiring a Secret clearance located in Vienna, VA. ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense.

As a Senior Software Developer/Applications Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and support for Database Management Systems supporting a very large Federal program.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Analyzes and studies complex system requirements.
* Designs software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manages their implementation.
* Manages software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, logic flow charts,Agile software processes and other accepted design techniques and Computer Aided Software Engineering tools.
* Estimates software development costs and schedules.
* Reviews existing program and assists in making refinements, reducing operating time and improving current efficiency.
* Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.
* Translates detailed design into computer software.
* Tests, debugs and refines the computer software to produce the required product.
* Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
* Provides technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met. Supervises software configuration management.

Basic Qualifications:

* Ten to fifteen years of direct experience within the past twenty years required.
* Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering).
* Development experience with Java Dynamic Forms.
* Must have Secret clearance
* Must be U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience as a Software Developer/Applications Engineer supporting an Agile/DevSecOps environment
* Experience supporting customers in the Department of Defense is highly desired.
* Experience developing in an agile environment with React JS, Go, AWS GovCloud in a DoD CC SRG IL 4+ capacity, Java, JavaScript (AngularJs), JSON, Spring Boot, XML, Pega is highly desired.
* Knowledgeable of Security/IA products such as PKI, VPN, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems desired
* Agile and PMP certification is a plus
* Experience with both DoD and Federal PKIs and AWS GovCloud environments, preferably in a DoD CC SRG IL 4+ capacity and IdAM applications and tools is a plus.
