Job Description

TrueBlue, the people company, has a Front End Developer position open in their corporate office in downtown Tacoma.

The SoftwareDeveloper will work on the development team to create automated tests for the software being created by the team, as well as help create the software when available. The SoftwareDeveloper will be given a framework defining what needs to be tested and how but will be responsible for creating the tests and ensuring adequate test coverage. They will work closely with the rest of the development team to ensure project success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

* Enable collaboration. Encourage and support the team's execution on meaningful goals throughout the execution phase. Celebrate wins with the team. Encourage continuous improvement and experimentation.
* Attend all scrum ceremonies and work with team to meet the goals of each sprint.
* Develop automated tests in support of Ulysses project deliverables.
* When available develop, modify and debug software products for the Ulysses project.
* Work with team to align on priorities and deliver technology solutions to solve business needs.
* Support the quality of the product by participating in design reviews, code reviews, automated testing, and blue-green deployment / canary releases (when possible).



QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience in the following: JavaScript and/or C#;
* Nice to have experience in the following: SQL and Test-Driven Development
* Nice to have experience in developing and testing in Agile Software development projects
* Knowledge of modern best practices for professional software development including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
* Demonstrate very strong debugging skills
* Ability to expose broad defects in production level code as well as defects at the component and feature integration prospective
* Command the skill to communicate clearly and effectively to enable efficient work in both team and individual environments with also the ability to work independently through ambiguity and rapid changes.
