About the job:

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Software Developer to participate in software development within an Agile team supporting Financial Planning, Budgeting & Reporting needs in Corporate, GRM & GRS.

You will be engaged in challenging, innovative projects that impact our Financial clients in Corporate, GRM & GRS. You will be responsible for work in all stages of the development lifecycle, from reviewing business requirements, to design, to construction and test, to deployment.

The industry changes quickly, so we are looking for candidates who can respond to change, pick up new technologies quickly and adapt to changing requirements. We also want candidates who take pride in their work and have strong design and development expertise. We value quality code delivery and expect candidates to demonstrate competence at writing, testing and debugging code.

Desired skills:

* Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication and collaboration skills.


* General knowledge of agile software development concepts and processes.


* Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative and be a logical thinker.


* Experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning/Essbase, Anaplan or other applicable Planning and Budgeting tools a plus.



Highly competitive candidates will have:

* Experience in working with, installing and customizing vendor applications and tools.


* Linux/Unix coding skills a plus.


* Experience with Report development tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Cognos.



Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.


* Generally 3 years of professional experience.


* Proficient in two or more programming languages and tools; knowledgeable in new and emerging technologies.


* Negotiation skills; oral and written communication skills.


* General knowledge of the following: IT concepts, strategies and methodologies, IT architectures and technical standards.


* General knowledge of a business function(s) and business operations.


* Design and development tools.


* General knowledge of layered systems architectures.


* General understanding of shared software concepts.


* General knowledge of architectures and technical standards.


* General knowledge of agile software development concepts and processes


* Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative and be a logical thinker.


* Consultative skills, including the ability to understand and assist in applying customer requirements, including drawing out unforeseen implications and making recommendations for design, the ability to define design reasoning, understanding potential impacts of design requirements.


* Understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, and incremental delivery.


* Collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required.
