Amazon's Perfect Order Experience team works to ensure that buyers receive authentic and safe products. We design and implement policies, tools and technology innovations to protect the buying experience on Amazon while minimizing friction for sellers. The teams focus on development of software services and tools that enable automated real time decision making using data streams and machine learning, Investigators to make accurate decisions and Sellers to have self-service mechanisms to interact with Amazon.

In this role you will lead a team of software engineers that works closely with machine learning scientists in the joint mission of detecting bad activity as early as possible and driving downstream investigation and enforcement actions. Towards this, you will build cutting edge machine learning algorithms and predictive analytic solutions to protect millions of consumers.

In this role you'll have independent technical ownership on new customer features and supporting architecture on a day to day and week to week basis.

Key Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the over-all systems development life cycle with a keen eye towards innovating and building systems that can experiment rapidly
* · Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments; Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment
* · Management of departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining a best-of-class engineering team
* · Work closely with the engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach
* · Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management.
* Work closely with stakeholders and partners to manage, simplify and execute incoming requests.
