Job Description

Senior or Junior Software Design Engineer. Video compression.

We are looking for the best talent for multiple openings. As a member of the R&D team, you will be challenged with designing and developing the latest broadcast equipment incorporating the most advanced video technology in the industry.

Junior or graduate candidates will also be considered for these openings.

Requirements:

* Experience in image/video processing
* Experience in video compression research (could be theoretical or practical)
* knowledge of video standards H.264, MPEG2 and HEVC
* Knowledge / experience in image or video processing, object detection and tracking
* Experience in video codec optimization and Video quality assessment
* Understanding of video quality evaluation including objective metrics PSNR, SSIM, JND etc
* Very good C/C++ skills and hands on programming experience

Desirable:

* Experience with open source codecs e.g. x264, JM, HM
* Experience with ffmpeg libraries
* Experience with real-time broadcast codecs
* Experience in video transmission, container formats (transport streams), demuxing , muxing
* Experience/ knowledge of hardware such as DSP, ASIC, FPGA

Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree / Ms.c / PhD in computer science or equivalent
* Relevant experience in video compression research and implementation
* Be results oriented, self-motivated, and a team player
* Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent academic background
