Site Reliability Engineer - Data Infrastructure

Powering the world's most popular app for meeting new people requires highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and performant systems. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for Data Infrastructure, you will build critical big data infrastructure and analytical pipelines processing billions of events per day. You'll build and maintain tools to deploy, monitor, and operate our systems while working closely with software engineers to automate and streamline our development and production environments. This is a full-time position based in our office in Los Angeles, CA.

In this role, you will:

* Support our cloud-based data infrastructure: Spark/EMR, Flink, Kafka, Airflow, etc.
* Automate data pipeline deployment and configuration management with our CI/CD pipeline.
* Evaluate and drive the adoption of big data open source tools.
* Collaborate with various engineering teams on the design and expansion of our infrastructure.

We're looking for:

* 3+ years strong system programming experience with Python and Bash
* 2+ years of experience of developing and maintaining AWS cloud technologies
* Experience supporting data pipeline - Airflow, EMR, Kafka, Kinesis, Zookeeper with a focus on reliability, automation, and performance
* BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred

Bonus points if you have:

* Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Puppet, Docker, etc.)
* Working experience with Flink.
