Description:This Labs & Technical Services (L&TS) manager within Engineering & Technology (E&T) is responsible for all System engineering development and integration of one or more Line of Business (LOB) projects assigned to the lab enterprise. This engineering manager is responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, recognition/disciplinary actions, and system engineering competency development. Additionally, the selected candidate will manage the schedule/cost/technical risks, lab system architecture definition, requirements development and management, system design, integration, verification, and validation of laboratory

products; oversees the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of engineering applications and products such as laboratory simulation systems, laboratory Hardware and Man-in-the loop systems, and other systems and applications of this nature; interfaces with customers, suppliers,

application users, and other technical and support personnel; and performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into laboratory specifications; and maintains awareness on emerging

technologies and project/program management techniques. This engineering manager will focus on systems engineering for F-35 LOB Simulation Products related to Reprogramming Labs Integration & Test as well as Lab Supplier Management for the organization. Active DoD or project clearances desired. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Must be a U.S. citizen. This position will require a government security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required

Project or Technical leadership experience

Technical Experience and Systems Engineering Background

Earned Value Management experience

Configuration Management and Associated Processes experience

Desired Skills:

Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership (Shape the Future, Build Effective Relationships, Energize the Team, Deliver Results, Model Personal Excellence, Integrity and Accountability)

Management experience in engineering field (SE/SW/HW)

System Engineering, System Integration, or System Verification/Validation leadership experience

Working Knowledge of Laboratory Processes and Procedures

Systematic & Methodical System Integration, Verification, and

Debugging Skills

Understanding of Air System Simulation and/or Aircraft Hardware & Software

Risk Analysis

Subcontracting knowledge and experience

JAFAN, RMF/JSIG, or Information Assurance knowledge and experience

Understanding of Real-Time Systems, Computers, Busses, I/O & Protocols
