Job Description

Covestic is searching for an Service Engineer to serve our growing business at a Fortune 500 enterprise client's security reporting and analytics team. This person will be responsible for the creation, care and feeding of the infrastructure from the application layer down to the base hardware. Therefore, we are looking for people with a proven record of designing and running several core infrastructure services at scale.

Responsibilities:

* Issuance, renewal, revocation of smart card, application, and SSL certificates
* Triage incoming user requests and break/fix incidents, either resolving or assigning to appropriate team/team member
* Design, care, and feeding of the core infrastructure services
* Approach engineering challenges with a proactive, engineering, and customer-obsessed mindset
* Instrument the services in such a manner that every event is actionable in an automated manner
* Define, create and manage metrics and KPI's
* Creation and implement automation features to eliminate common manual tasks PowerShell
* Work with the operations center and feature teams as a subject matter expert, offering education and guidance on integration, support and monitoring of toolset
* Serve as Tier 4 escalation point responsible for troubleshooting, as well as mentor and coach others
* Demonstrate complex troubleshooting skills, deep knowledge of the services running on the infrastructure, and working with engineers and vendors to resolve issues
* Participate in defining and developing long-term tooling and platform strategies
* Participate in an on call rotation 24x7
* Write and review new and existing documentation

Basic Qualifications:

* Online services support experience required
* Experience with AD, DNS, RDP/RDG, WAP/ADFS, PKI, AuthIP, and debugging Windows OS issues
* Experience with Service automation using scripting tools (Power Shell preferred)
* Experience of service/server troubleshooting required
* Experience handling critical support incidents with demonstrable executive communication skills



Plus skills:

* AD consolidation / migration experience a plus!
* Proven hands-on experience designing and deploying services including configuration of various network devices, strongly preferred
* Clear understanding of networking services, technologies and protocols (SSL, TLS, DNS, LDAP, etc.)
* Strong written and oral communication skills required
* Past experience in an on call rotation 24 x7 required
