Job Description

The Senior Video Engineering Leader will be the technical lead to deliver our smart home camera offering portfolio.

You will ensure the project team define the system architecture, criteria for system testing and user acceptance result.

Main responsibilities, but not limited to:

Ultimate responsibility to deliver the technical solution to the customer

Accountable for ensuring that the end-to-end solution is in line with the platform business plan

Work with Platform and System Architects to ensure that the technical solution is contemporary and flexible to allow easy evolution

Define, prioritize, and clarify user stories. Work with Product Owners to understand use cases, features, business & technical domain rules and overall product goals for Homes security product offerings

Collaborate with the Scrum Master to run successful Release Planning and Sprint Planning sessions, as well as completing Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.

Maintain the functional quality of the deliverables by setting and evaluating expectations and acceptance criteria

Identify and manage key system metrics that will be used to define technical direction

Build the Management Operating System for the project team

Track and deliver the technical content of the project on time, on cost, on schedule

Will be the technical point of contact to dialog with our partners

Ensure the project team develop a plan to meet cyber security requirements

Reports to the VP Engineering Security

YOU MUST HAVE:

Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent. Masters degree preferred

10+ years of experience delivering wireless camera, video offering such as video conferencing

HIGHLY PREFERRED:

Experience of participating and leading cross functional global projects

Experience in the Product Development life cycle processes and tools - Experience operating with ODM to deliver hardware products is highly desirable

Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, people development, networking and influencing

Excellent planning and execution/ program management skills

Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines within tight schedules, supporting multiple projects and dynamic environments.

Ability to understand and abstract complex systems from technical descriptions

Experience in low latency video streaming

Experience in advanced video compression

Advanced understanding of video codecs and video standards

Advanced knowledge of IP video delivery protocols
