EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Our team wants to change the way enterprise software is built. The User Assistance Development role will be supporting special pilot and incubation projects with a focus on validating new enterprise product, technology, and architecture approaches and the goal to actively help shaping SAP's future Cloud ERP architecture.
As a Senior User Assistance Developer, you will work on a specific project critical to SAP S/4's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We expect our employees to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the product as we continue to push technology forward.
Overall duties include, but are not limited to:
* Creates user assistance (UA) deliverables that enable users to deploy, administer, and use SAP software, and/or coordinates the creation of these UA deliverables. UA deliverables include, but are not limited to, terminology, UI texts, guides, multimedia, scripts, context-sensitive help, tutorials, and social-media content.
* Collaborates and communicates, as applicable, with internal stakeholders, such as subject-matter experts, user experience (UX), development, validation, and product support.
* Actively participates in cross-department/cross-company projects to improve UA tools, processes, concepts, or content. May contribute to strategic concepts and processes for continuous improvements to UA tools, processes, and content.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* University degree (for example, in technical communication or a related subject, such as languages, translation, or media and communication studies).
* Experience using relevant tools for content creation, translation, or coordination of UA projects.
* Experience proofreading and editing content to ensure contextual relevance and linguistic correctness.
* Experience in information development.
* Solid understanding of all relevant UX standards and how UA and UX complement each other.
* Solid understanding of the background and dependencies of the tools involved, with the ability to trouble-shoot specific issues.

Newport Beach, CA US (must be willing to relocate, if necessary, and work out of this location)
