Gunnison is seeking energetic and dedicated team member with good foundations in support of our largest client in a long-term program with our client in Suitland, MD.

Location: Suitland, MD - Easily Accessible by car or Metro, free parking. Work from home available 1 day per week.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems and modification


* May lead, mentor and direct the work of others


* Assists in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs


* Pays close attention to detail and organizes your own work


* Strong oral and written communication skills


* Able to write and manage test cases, test reports and other test documentation


* Ability to understand specifications written in pseudocode


* Self-motivating, should be constantly looking for ways to improve the software and processes with little guidance


* Must have good working experience of QA methodologies


* Is self-driven and able to prioritize the work tasks in the best interests of the project



REQUIREMENTS:

* At least 3-5+ years of experience as a software tester
* Ability to pass a US Government Background investigation (national agency check, Secret or TS not required)
* Blaise experience is desirable

Education

* BS degree in Computer Sciences or related field (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered), or equivalent work experience
