JOB DESCRIPTION

We're looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team and provide on-site system deployment and administration for Fox Windows and virtual computing environments. You will be acting as the architect for the enterprise virtual architecture and be leading all activities related to implementing and maintaining the compute environment.

There will be a focus on problem and project management, and we're looking for someone who can collaborate and build relationships with various IT teams, clients, and vendors. With your strong familiarity and experience with VMware vSphere Infrastructure, Blade technologies and Windows Server Operating Systems, you will have the opportunity to provide support functions, including problem determination and resolution, technical solution development, policies, procedures and processes governing the use and operation of the company's global network infrastructure and compute assets.

A SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

* Implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and support virtualization platforms including ESX/ESXi, vCenter, vSphere, etc. in a multi-site environment
* Advance knowledge working with VMWare virtualization products in an enterprise environment
* Implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and support enterprise blade technologies, composable infrastructure, and server hardware including HPE Proliant and OneView/Synergy technologies in a multi-site environment
* Adding structure to IT operations - implementing change management, documentation, best practices, etc.
* Participate in the support and ongoing maintenance of standards, policies and policies
* Identify, resolve and escalate business issues as appropriate
* Project ownership responsibilities to include gathering requirements from diverse business units, documenting proper design and following through to project completion
* Develop automation scripts to be used for Windows deployments and Cloud management and control

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

* 5-7+ years of relevant experience, ideally in infrastructure architecture and design of complex distributed systems environments, including failover techniques, recovery/rollback, and application partitioning
* Previous experience with Platform as a Service (PaaS) or Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) environment a plus
* VMware Certified Professional (VMware Version 6.0 or higher). VCAP preferred
* Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert/Associate preferred
* AWS SysOps Administrator preferred, not required
* Experience with Cloud orchestration software, such as VMWare vRealize Suite (vRA and vrOps) and NSX
* Experience managing private/public/Hybrid Cloud environments such as vRealize Suite, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform
* Working knowledge with Diagnostic tools, automation, and recovery systems using standard or proprietary scripting and programming utilities

Advanced knowledge of:

* Windows 2012 R2/ 2016 Server design, implementation, administration, maintenance and troubleshooting in a multi-site environment
* Microsoft Technologies to include Windows Clustering, AD/GPO, DFS, patch management, and in depth performance monitoring
* Networking monitoring/troubleshooting
* Storage monitoring/troubleshooting
* PowerShell / PowerCLI and/or other scripting languages
* VMware products: vSphere 6.0+, HA, DRS, Vmotion, Distributed Switches, PowerCLI
* Blade technology and server hardware (HPE Synergy Blades, OneView, and Proliant)
* Operating Systems including (Windows 2012R2, 2016, and vSphere ESX/ESXi)
* Windows Clustering including SQL and File clusters

Preferred Skills & Experience

* Understanding of data center automation products/cloud computing, with prior experience building products and services in this space a plus. VMWare vRealize experience a plus.
* Experience in designing & developing scalable, distributed, multi-threaded applications
* Working knowledge with system automation/configuration scripting including: PowerShell, PowerCLI, VMware Software Development Kit and related API Familiarity with security technologies (SSL, Authentication)
* Understanding of storage architectures, including peripheral interfaces (FC, SCSI, RAID, Ethernet) and multi-processor designs.
* Experience virtualizing enterprise applications (SQL, ORACLE, Web servers, etc.)
