Position Overview

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for operating and maintaining Brookfield Properties Microsoft desktop environment. Additionally, the position will act as third level support for operating system related incidents that require escalation from the desktop support team. Most importantly, this position will work closely with Brookfield Properties cyber security team to maintain a secure desktop environment and participate in various cyber security initiatives that involve software deployments and hardware deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain Microsoft SCCM environment
* Co-managing SCCM with MSFT Intune within Modern Workplace
* Manages deployment of all patches, critical updates and service packs on a timely basis
* Troubleshoots problems to locate root cause and appropriate fixes in expedient fashion
* Provides client support and technical issue resolution in support of other teams
* Prepares standard statistical reports and custom reports
* Keep Windows 10 and Office 365 updated to current releases (added verbiage to the "Deployment, installation and administration of Microsoft Office products" bullet point).
* Knowledge of Group Policy and AGPM management tool. Create and maintain group policies to support, enhance and secure the environment.
* Experience working with AAD & Intune in a co-managed environment
* Consults with third party vendors to obtain support with resolving issues and developing/maintaining platform strategy
* Experience with desktop deployment automation architecture, design/migration and troubleshooting
* Experience managing an OS image for large corporate environments
* Knowledgeable in desktop virtualization and thin client technologies
* Experience in application packaging, modifying and customizing setup programs and MSI's
* Must have experience in a remote technical support role including hardware/software/operating systems as well as server and network experience
* Contribute to development and ongoing improvement of industry best practices and standards for deploying enterprise desktop technologies
* Knowledge of the Windows registry, interaction of drivers within the OS, and unattended/silent installs of Windows operating systems
* Deployment, installation and administration of Microsoft Office products
* Evaluate emerging technologies to ensure technical solutions are compatible with the company's business needs and strategic objectives
* Provide technical expertise, guidance and strategic recommendations to other IT groups
* Functional working and debugging knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
* Investigate, analyze and resolve technical issues and actively pursue mechanisms for preventing, or automating the response to reoccurrences
* Relies on a working knowledge of standard (Windows) client platform administration, configuration, rights management and file access to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job
* Develop, establish and maintain effective working relationships with IT and Business customers
* Maintain and improve skills by attending workshops, reviewing publications, participate in professional societies, and independently search out tools and exercises for professional growth
* Consistently demonstrate and promote company core values at all times

Qualifications

* Ability to understand Brookfield Properties business model and associated impacts and benefits of applying technologies
* Collaborate with team members and share knowledge/mentor where appropriate
* Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills amongst key stakeholders
* Skilled in preparing and delivering presentations for end user and executive level audiences
* 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SCCM
* Problem solving and analytical thinking
* Experience evaluating vendor road maps, supplying feedback and implementation recommendations
* High energy, creative, self-motivated and independent
* Ability to work/execute on multiple projects and prioritize accordingly
