As an analyst you will perform analysis on a variety of topics and conduct research in support of project work and business cases.

Responsibilities:

* Drive configuration, development and build of systems and solutions using vendor platforms. Collaborate with business partners to understand complex insurance rating capabilities, and decompose and configure them into system level specifications.


* Create modern UI and workflows leveraging the vendor platform's drag and drop and configuration capabilities, in a largely no-code environment, and transform legacy paper-based workflows into modern, rich and innovative digital user experiences.


* Maintain and prioritize requirements backlog, and collaborate with teams to implement new features and enhancements.


* Act as project architect and contribute to architectural decisions related to systems solutions and projects.


* Coordinate upgrades and rollouts of moderate scope including implementation, training and monitoring performance. Communicate project objectives, scope and direction to project team.


* Analyze complex technical and system problems.


* Design and implement effective solutions.


* Evaluate complex business requirements.


* Participate in modeling data and system requirements.


* Create system, technical and product standards and procedures.


* Modify and maintain complex desktop client products using standard life cycle development practices.


* Travel required up to 25



Qualifications:

* The position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, PLUS five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related technical occupation.
* The position requires five (5) years of experience with each of the following: underwriting and rating applications in the insurance industry; data analysis and database querying using SQL or XLS; java 1.6 through 1.8., and JavaScript; insurance suite including SAP for Insurance, FS PQM, and FS PRO; XML, HTML 5.0, and JSON; Eclipse, SAP Configuration Studio, and Altova XML Spy; databases including Oracle, and MySQL; Apache Tomcat; Windows, UNIX, and Linux; Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, and XP; and working across cross-functional teams. Travel required up to 25%.
