If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our team at APL.

We are seeking a Senior System Administrator. In this position you will develop and manage enterprise computing infrastructure supporting government funded technical tasks. You will collaborate with line and program leadership to provide innovative solutions based on dynamic technical requirements.

As a Senior Systems Administrator...

* Your primary responsibility will be to help manage a growing Windows and Linux network including Active Directory Management, Group Policy, and virtualization.
* You will work with APL staff to identify technical requirements for new projects and determine the best path to deliver solutions in support of those projects.
* Other responsibilities may include assisting with patching, scanning and maintaining anti-malware programs.
* You will also be responsible for investigating and implementing new technical solutions to enhance network capabilities, security, and usability.



You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

* Hold a bachelor's degree in an Information Technology related field with 5 years of related experience or 10 years of professional experience without a degree.


* At least two years' experience with Windows domains and Windows Server 2012 or greater, GPOs.
* Experience administering VMware vSphere v5.5 or greater including vCenter permissions and distributed switches.
* A demonstrated ability to identify project requirements and deliver solutions utilizing existing resources or by developing new capabilities.
* Are able to obtain a Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.



You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you have...

* Experience with client management solutions such as Microsoft System Center.
* Experience managing Linux systems in an enterprise environment.
* Background managing enterprise storage networks and appliances.
* Administration experience with VMware Horizon.
* Familiarity utilizing NIST security frameworks such as 800-171, 800-53, Risk Management Framework.
