The Role

Are you passionate about Enterprise Architecture and how it can help Companies in so many different ways? Tired of getting caught up in endless red tape and bureaucracy? If so we are looking for a person to join our EA team in the Senior Enterprise Infrastructure Architect role.

We are a small motivated IT Enterprise Architecture (EA) team on a journey to take our practice to the next level and looking for someone that is results oriented but patient, tenacious but respectful, and who enjoys working toward longer term goals that benefit our customers and Hollister. This is a key role that will be responsible for helping move EA towards a standards based infrastructure and will work closely with our Infrastructure Development and IT Operations teams.

* Carrying out infrastructure technology selections


* Partnering with Business Unis and Corporate Functional areas, articulating IT value, inspiring trust


* Creation of solution architectures and related designs


* Driving close collaboration between various IT teams (Infrastructure Development, IT Operations & Security, IT PMO)


* Experience using Planview CTM (formally Troux) a plus




* 5-8 years IT experience with Senior level knowledge and hands-on experience with IT infrastructure elements
* Demonstrated ability with successfully selecting and implementing technology infrastructure elements (servers, network & communication, data management and storage, security, operating systems).


* Hands-on experience with design, implementation, and support of IT technology infrastructure elements

Summary:

Responsible for leadership, facilitation, analysis, and design of the enterprise infrastructure architecture. Ensure enterprise infrastructure architecture is aligned with business and IT requirements and longer-term business strategies in the most cost effective manner. Member of the Technical Review Board.

Responsibilities:

* Stay abreast of infrastructure related technological advances and advise on how they can best leverage to drive business outcomes.


* Create infrastructure standards that will inherently protect Hollister information assets as well as be cost effective, efficient, and effective.


* Develops infrastructure solution roadmaps to ensure the infrastructure environment supports future business needs.


* Oversee and carry out infrastructure software/hardware evaluations and selections according to the defined technical review process. Coordinate solution feasibility studies and/or pilots to facilitate evaluation as necessary.


* Partner with Business Unis and Corporate Functional areas, articulate IT value, and inspire trust.


* Analyze enterprise business context (trends and business strategy) to derive infrastructure architecture.


* Creation of solution architectures and designs.


* Driving close collaboration between various IT teams (Infrastructure Development, IT Operations & Security, IT PMO).


* Drive out cost & complexity from IT solutions.


* Use Planview CTM (formally Troux) to aid in Enterprise Architecture activities


* Maintains relationships with key vendors and suppliers.


* Be a positive advocate for the enterprise architecture process, its outcome and ongoing results.


* Consult on application or infrastructure development projects to fit systems, data or infrastructure to the infrastructure architecture, and identify when it is necessary to modify the infrastructure architecture to accommodate project needs.


* Identify the organizational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures and culture) and financial impact of the infrastructure architecture. Assists in development of resource and financial plans to support architecture.


* Ensure IT solutions comply with applicable regulations and data privacy requirements (e.g. data retention, audit requirements, data privacy/GDPR, EU MDR, FDA).



Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis or related study; or equivalent experience


* Number of Overall Years Necessary: 5-8


* 5-8 years experience in Information Technology, 3 years experience working in an Enterprise Architecture group and minimum of 3 years in infrastructure systems design.


* Experience in Enterprise Architecture with driving out costs & complexity from IT solutions and building rapport and trust with business & corporate units.


* In-depth experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex infrastructure solutions.


* Knowledgeable in the design and construction of infrastructure architectures that enable well-integrated transactional, collaborative, resilient and efficient systems.


* Exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and influencing.


* Strong leadership skills.


* Demonstrates resourcefulness and creativity in solving architecture related challenges.


* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


* Excellent planning and organizational skills.


* Remains unbiased toward any specific vendor or technology choice; is more interested in results than personal preferences.


* Committed to intellectual integrity and motivated by long-term results.


* Knowledge of all components of infrastructure architecture.


* Experience with problem analysis, structured analysis, and design techniques.


* Strong understanding of infrastructure development methodologies


* Experience with data center outsourcing, SaaS, IaaS, Paas, cloud and hybrid cloud solutions.


* Understanding of security by design concepts and how to integrate security into infrastructure to protect information


* Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.


* Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.


* Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts/theories for a variety of stakeholders.


* Ability to analyze project, program and portfolio needs, as well as determine resources needed to meet objectives and solve problems that involve remote and elusive symptoms, often spanning multiple environments in a business area.


* Experience with various information modeling techniques (e.g. data flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams).


* High-level understanding of relational database management systems and other data structures.


* Basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting including ability to estimate the financial impact of technical architecture alternatives.


* Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.


* Talk on the phone with suppliers and Hollister Associates


* Read technical manuals/trade journals


* Use a personal computer and strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Visio


* Travel via plane or automobile
