If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our team at APL.

We are seeking a Senior Space Control Analyst to participate in projects developing the next generation of space control applications for the National Security Space mission area. Project tasks include advanced algorithm development, modeling & simulation, and space systems design. Tasks may also include leading teams of engineers and analysts in generating technical products for a variety of sponsors.

As a Space Control Analyst, you will...

* Develop advanced algorithms to solve unique and emerging space systems


* Develop tools to evaluate system performance


* Perform systems level technical analysis, trade studies, and analysis of alternatives


* Make recommendations to sponsors on mission/system requirements


* Develop requirements and tools for verification, and validation efforts


* Participate in engineering team meetings and overall technical development efforts.



Required Qualifications:

* B.S. in engineering, physics, computer science, or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of professional engineering experience.


* MATLAB, C , Python, or other high-level programming language.


* Demonstrated leadership capability leading technical teams


* Demonstrated communications skills delivering presentations and producing written documentation.


* Hold an active Top Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.


* Current program accesses applicable to the sponsor base



Desired Qualifications:

* M.S. (or higher) in engineering, physics, or equivalent with 5-10 years of professional engineering experience.


* Space mission design and astrodynamics


* Experience leading proposals or conducting systems studies; experience with space mission formulation


* Broad technical experience base and strong analytical skills.


* Experience and familiarity working with national security space sponsors and applications


* Experience with AGI tool suite including STK, Astrogator, and ODTK
