Job Description

Sunovion Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect Security to join our IT Organization in Marlborough, MA.

The Sr. Solutions Architect (IT Security) is responsible for ensuring all IT services in the IT Security functional area are delivered correctly and with a high degree of quality. This position develops strategy and roadmaps for the IT Security functional area; and leads projects and process improvements to continually improve user functionality & experience and maintain corporate security. This position leverages outsourced vendors to perform operational activities and drives proper performance management to attain results. This position serves as the Subject Matter Expert for the IT Security functional area.

Essential Functions

* Define overall direction, strategy & development for IT Security services including development and maintenance of roadmaps; design, testing & implementation of new services; improvements to existing services; and definition & enforcement of standards.
* Serve as liaison to understand and communicate business user needs and trends.
* Develop and manage technical architecture for IT Security services in alignment with the strategy including understanding requirements, evaluation, testing and lifecycle management for hardware & software.
* Stay current with user technology and industry trends. Identify and address opportunities for improved user experience.
* Manage and participate in projects related to IT Security services including assessment and planning for user requirements & impact, high level design, prioritization and demand management (including vendor resources) for implementation and transition to operations.
* Coordinate with IT and other departments as needed.
* Manage vendor relationships with external partners to ensure IT Security services and project activities are delivered according to Sunovion standards.
* Provide operational oversight for partner delivery of IT Security services.
* Define & provide escalation points for end user incidents & requests if vendor handling is not sufficient.

* Identity and Access Management (Microsoft, Okta)
* Cloud Security/CASB
* Cloud providers (AWS, Azure)
* Microsoft 365
* Log aggregation/SIEM
* Vulnerability scanning Vendor security risk assessments
* Security awareness training
* Working with an outsourced managed service provider
* Working in a global organization
* 6-8 Years experience required Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
* Knowledge and skills (general and technical):
* Applies advanced technical principles, theories and concepts. Contributes to development of new principles and concepts.
* Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions that are highly innovative and aligned to the Corporate IT strategy.
* Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Work checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than by formal review of superior.
