WANTED: An experienced Sr. Solutions Architect / Health IT SME to serve as the key focal point that unites AMERICAN SYSTEMS' business development and proposal activities, and its operations technical staff in the company's efforts to craft competitive technical solutions that lead to business growth with high focus on Health IT opportunities.

As a Senior Solutions Architect / Health IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) you will:

* Apply your knowledge and experience to promote the use of the AMERICAN SYSTEMS common Service Delivery Framework as well as champion continued improvement of our Strategic Solutions and their associated Service Delivery Models (SDMs). The Sr. Solutions Architect will function as a solutions strategist as well as external-facing thought leader as business needs dictate.

A week in the life of a Senior Solutions Architect / Health IT Subject Matter Expert (SME):

* Develop compliant, compelling, and innovative technical solutions that support capture and proposal efforts within the core business base and strategic expansion areas. This includes writing technical content, serving as a proposal technical volume lead, and working with technical staff and SMEs to design solutions.
* Author RFIs, white papers and briefings that showcase the thought leadership of the organization.
* Provide technical support to business development and operations staff in customer-facing marketing and business development efforts.
* Assist or lead capture strategy development, including the creation and marketing of discriminating value propositions.
* Assist in the further development of our Strategic Solutions.
* Support program management and business development reviews and assist in improving performance of troubled projects as required.

Job Requirements

The Sr. Solutions Architect / Health IT SME role calls for a technologist who possesses a strong foundation in technical functions, practical experience in support of business development, capture, and proposal activities, and in-depth knowledge of the Federal/DoD Health IT domain. Job requirements and experience includes:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
* 15+ years of direct experience in systems engineering, systems integration, or systems development with broad technical expertise crossing multiple disciplines. Key areas of experience include:
* Developing and implementing enterprise-wide IT Strategies
* Enterprise IT service delivery (Tier 0/1/2/3 Service Desks).
* Cyber security requirements including DIACAP, RMF and site-specific policies.
* System and application development
* 5+ years in a technical and/or program management position in the Military Health System to include of:
* Experience with MHS systems, technologies and applications including AHLTA, MHS GENESIS, MED-COI and other DHA Desktop to Datacenter elements.
* Experience managing military treatment facility (MTF) IT operations. Regional and Enterprise-level experience preferred both CONUS and OCONUS.
* Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA policies as related to IT and technology.
* 5+ years of experience in support of capture and proposal activities.
* Demonstrated experience in shaping, bidding, winning, and performing on opportunities for Federal clients.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills, as well as presentation, facilitation, and team building skills.
* Active Security Clearance

Desired, but not required are:

* Advanced technical degree
* Technical certifications (CISSP, MCSE, ITIL, etc.)
* Project management experience and PMP certification
