Job Description

The Calculations team is responsible for exposing powerful functions and features of Tableau in a user-friendly way. We build everything from new functions in the calculation language, to new ways of modeling your data, all the way to a delightful calculation editing experience. We give our customers the flexibility to see and understand their data in the ways that work best for them.

What you'll be doing…

As a member of our team you will be...

* Writing test automation to validate customer scenarios deep in the core of Tableau.
* Creating tools and automation using Java, Python or C++ to ensure we always deliver the highest quality experience available
* Reviewing C++ product code and design and performing white-box testing
* An ambassador for quality within the team, working with Developers to ensure we are always delivering the best possible experience to customer

Who you are…

* Experienced. 5+ years of experience testing and profiling large-scale C++ systems.
* Highly Technical. You are excited to learn new programming languages and new technology. You have strong knowledge of development and test tools and you are well versed in object-oriented design in Python and/or Java. You have a solid understanding of database concepts and can read and understand C++.
* Passionate about Quality. A love of testing, tuning and analysis through a rigorous scientific approach. You are passionate about creating a delightful user experience.
* Team Player. You enjoy collaborating with, learning from, and teaching others so we all can become better. You assume the good intent in others, and do your part to create a positive work environment.
* Customer Focused. You want to learn about customers, their challenges & scenarios and you find satisfaction in shipping quality products that delight customers. You are not satisfied thinking about how the product does work, but also consider how it should work.
* Educated. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent.
