Job Description

As a Senior Quality Champion, the Senior Software Engineering Specialist will ensure quality of the business applications throughout the software development lifecycle using Agile Methodology. Primary responsibilities will involve defining test strategies, identifying scenarios, generating test plans, developing test cases and automating test scripts.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Experience in applying Agile methodology to a daily work routine
* Analyze and dissect system requirements and technical specifications to create and execute test cases for large business initiatives
* Ability to write test plans, test cases, and execute tests within a distributed environment
* Manage defects and help drive defect resolution
* Assist business users in defining user acceptance testing
* Experience in creating test data requests from upstream applications for SIT
* Establish and maintain test cases and test data
* Create and maintain test cases in a test management tool such as ALM and also Rally
* Actively participate in walk-through, inspection, review and project meetings
* Work with business users, business analysts, and developers to create and analyze various required project documents
* Participate in production implementation verification and accountable for validating system quality
* Plan, document, evaluate and track testing results to ensure system applications are free from defects
* Communicate and interact with appropriate areas on problems, changes and enhancements that may impact data, workflow and/or functionality
* Create automation test scripts using Selenium/Cucumber and Java
* Update already existing automation scripts as per change requests
* Provide status reports
* Work collaboratively within the Team and team members of other impacted applications

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree (or higher) with 2 years of quality assurance testing experience or High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of quality assurance and automation testing experience
* 3 years of healthcare Insurance industry
* 3 years of quality assurance testing experience
* 3 years of experience with writing SQL queries
* 3 years of using HP ALM or other test management tools
* Experience in Selenium/Cucumber and Java for test script automation
* Knowledge of Jenkins and / or Rally
* Ability to be flexible and work extra hours prior to a (schedule/unplanned) release

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in ORMB (Primarily in Healthcare Insurance industry)
* Scripting and automation experience using Selenium/Cucumber and Java
* Experience with Acceptance Test Driven Development
* Knowledge of UNIX commands
