Job Description

Computer Task Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer Web UI/UX for their client in Danvers, MA for a 3 month contract, temp to direct.

We are seeking a talented individual with expertise in web-based development and hands-on experience in developing, implementing, and supporting effective user interfaces using TypeScript or JavaScript.You will be part of a team building a large, multifaceted business application where a good user experience is essential.

Required Function 2:

Essential Responsibilities:• Building and supporting Web UI using TypeScript, HTML 5, jQuery, jQuery-UI, CSS 3, and Ajax. • Ability to code in C# and consume the .NET Framework related to web application development.• Ability to create web services.• Work as part of a focused team and collaborate with other engineering teams as needed.• Ensure architectural decisions are followed and participate in code reviews. • Assist in maintenance and upgrades of existing software applications. • Provide support in all phases of SDLC and ensure to deliver high-quality products. • Analyze and troubleshoot application issues in a timely fashion. • Attend team meetings to communicate project status and discuss about new ideas and any issues. • Recommend new technologies to ensure quality and productivity. • Assist in technical audits and make sure to implement audit recommendations. • Work with QA team in preparing test cases, plans and procedures. • Participate in testing as part of the cross-functional team• Follow Agile/Scrum practices

Required Function 3:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Be a team player.• HTML 5, CSS 3, TypeScript, JavaScript, jQuery. jQuery-ui a plus. We will allow coming up to speed on-the-job if you have similar skills.• C# is a must.• .NET Framework libraries for web development with WCF preferred.• Node.js, NPM, and Grunt preferred.• Experience writing Unit Tests• Experience in Source Code management tools with Git preferred.• Experience with design patterns of Dependency Injection, REST and SOLID/DRY all preferred.• Knowledge/Experience working with AWS is a plus.• Experience debugging JavaScript using tools like a browser's Development Tools• Exhibits Intellectual curiosity, emotional maturity, humility, and the willingness to learn and share technical information to enrich and strengthen the organization.• Understanding of agile/Scrum practices preferred.

Work Conditions, Physical Demands:• Primarily sedentary work in a general office environment• Ability to communicate and exchange information• Ability to comprehend and interpret documents and data• Requires occasional standing, walking, lifting, and moving objects (up to 10 lbs.)• Requires manual dexterity to use computer, telephone and peripherals• May be required to work extended hours for special business needs• May be required to travel at least 10% of time based on business needs

Required Function 5:

Minimum Education:BS in Computer Science or related field required.

Required Function 6:

Minimum Related Work Experience:• 5 years' experience designing, delivering and supporting production software• Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale or complex commercial software systems• Proven experience using the Microsoft or Open source development tools and stack, e.g., TFS, Visual Studio, Git, Java, etc• Hands-on strong experience with web services technologies such as REST, SOAP or a similar technology• 5 years of Web-based UI development experience• 2 years (or equivalent) Typescript or similar technologies• 2 years of experience leading/mentoring engineers and other team members• Command of C# and .NET programming• Command of HTML, Javascript and other web technologies• Proven experience championing stakeholder expectations; delivering quality solutions within time and budget• Strong, practical OO experience, e.g., understanding and employing SOLID principles and design patterns like, MVC, MVVM, MVP, etc.• Previous agile experience a big plus
