Job Description

Focused on SYPartners' brand, marketing, and internal learning and development efforts, our Studio is the creative heart and soul of the company, packaged in a nimble yet powerful team. As part of the team, you will be responsible for designing custom digital tools to help us shape the way we approach learning and development internally, and how we engage the outside world. Many of the tools we build internally later show up in our client work.

The work you'll do

* Own the development of new products that will serve users from around the world
* Build meaningful products, delivering regularly and often, always driven by providing value to our customers
* Collaborate with product owners to establish and achieve ambitious goals
* Lead technical conversation, facilitate decision making, and encourage collective ownership among developers
* Ideate and prototype, both collaboratively and autonomously
* Strong understanding of current technologies and standards, and how the digital ecosystem is evolving

Desired experience and skills

* Minimum of 5 years of experience using Ruby, Rails, React, Redux, JavaScript, PHP, HTML5, and CSS3
* Experience solving real problems under real constraints and maintaining pace
* Expertise in automated testing, continuous integration, etc. in principle and practice
* A working understanding of patterns, algorithms, and various programming styles
* The ability to build from requirements in multiple formats, from a problem set to fully fleshed out wireframes
