The Payment Systems Risk development group is responsible for building critical risk applications and services at VISA. This includes idea generation, architecture, design, development, and testing of products, applications, and services that provide Visa clients with solutions to detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud for Visa and Visa client payment systems.

You will work with colleagues, who will support and challenge you daily.

This position is ideal for a software engineer who is passionate about solving challenging business problems and building applications that provide an excellent user experience using cutting edge technologies like Machine Learning, BigData, AI, Phyton etc.

You will be part of the PSR development team focusing on design and build of software solutions that leverage data to solve business problems. Sometimes you will be designing brand-new software solutions, and at other times you may be refactoring existing functionality for performance and maintainability, but always working on ways to make us more efficient and provide better solutions to our customers.

Candidate must be flexible and willing to switch tasks based on team's needs.

Basic Qualifications

* Minimum of Bachelor's degree or the equivalent



Preferred Qualifications

* Proficiency in at least one programming language or technology including, but not limited, to Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, python, Javascript, HTML
* The ability to take on challenges and address problems head-on


* Strong ability to collaborate


* Highly driven and resourceful


* Except in exceptional circumstances, undergraduate candidates who will require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future will not be considered for this position


* Demonstrable teamwork attitude, ready to initiate collaboration and resolve conflicts



Essential Functions

* You'll venture into the world of Machine Learning and Deep Learning to build models


* You will work with Technical Product Management to understand business requirements and architect a solution that is robust and scalable along with providing technical documentation of solution


* You have the work and academic experience that will demonstrate proficiency and ease with programming languages, code quality initiatives, scripting languages and operating systems


* You'll leverage new technologies to build the next generation of Risk Services


* You'll play key role to design and implement various components of our global transaction processing systems


* You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and above all, you are a team player!



Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
