Audio team at NTD is looking for a senior engineer with passion for audio technologies and experienced in developing embedded systems software. Responsibilities include low-level systems software development, performance optimizations, architectural improvements, bug fixes, and other enhancements for Nintendo gaming systems. The ideal candidate should have strong communications skills and should have a collaborative working style.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

* Create new audio features capable of being successfully deployed in massively used, gaming console
* Design, develop and debug code in complex, multithreaded, realtime environments
* Implement and optimize digital audio processing software on various platforms
* Research technical issue, provide expert guidance, and develop technical solutions
* Communicate and collaborate effectively with other engineers and stakeholders
* Develop implementation plans and time estimates for tasks
* Drive software development activities in small team settings
* Up to 10% travel; domestic and international. Valid passport required for international travel.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

* 5 years of software development
* Excellent programming skills in C and C
* Industry experience in working with embedded systems and low-level audio development
* Strong working knowledge of digital audio effects, audio codecs, music and speech processing
* Solid understanding of multi-core SOC device and low-level kernel software
* Experience writing and debugging multi-process and multi-threaded applications
* BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field; MS preferred
* Valid passport may be required
