Senior Software Engineer (Multiple Openings)

DUTIES:

Eureka Infotech, Inc. is seeking Senior Software Engineers for its Hicksville, NY location. Individuals will apply advanced knowledge of computer science and engineering theories and concepts to oversee the development, creation and modification of general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Individuals will use standard occupational tools and knowledge to perform the following job duties:

* Analyze user needs to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints and to develop software solutions, applying knowledge of Servlets, Applets, EJB, Log4j, Maven, JMS, Docx4j, SVN, MyEclipse Blue and fckEditor.
* Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency utilizing advanced experience with Servlets, Applets, EJB, Log4j, Maven, JMS, Docx4j, SVN, MyEclipse Blue and fckEditor.
* Use knowledge of Servlets, Applets, EJB, Log4j, Maven, JMS, Docx4j, SVN, MyEclipse Blue and fckEditor to design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design; develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation using knowledge of Servlets, Applets, EJB, Log4j, Maven, JMS, Docx4j, SVN, MyEclipse Blue and fckEditor.
* Analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team, applying experience with Servlets, Applets, EJB, Log4j, Maven, JMS, Docx4j, SVN, MyEclipse Blue and fckEditor; oversee computer programming.
* Maintain, retrieve and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements; apply knowledge of SVN, MyEclipse Blue and fckEditor to coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
* Collaborate with programmer analysts, systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces using knowledge of SVN.
* Consult with customers about software system design and maintenance.
* Apply experience with Servlets, Applets, EJB, Log4j, Maven, JMS, Docx4j, SVN, MyEclipse Blue and fckEditor to oversee the development, creation, and modification of general computer applications software or specialized utility programs to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
* Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.

As assigned, perform other duties normally associated with this occupation.

REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any related I.T. major that provided the required skills, knowledge and abilities, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation that provided the required skills and abilities.

In lieu of the stated primary education and experience requirements, employer will accept a related Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of related progressive post-degree experience in the job offered or in a related occupation that provided the required skills and abilities.

Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. The term, suitable, in this context, means substantial compatibility with stated academic level and job experience requirements and ability to perform job duties. No travel or telecommuting.

Position requires demonstrable advanced experience with: Servlets, Applets, EJB, Log4j, Maven, JMS, Docx4j, SVN, MyEclipse Blue and fckEditor.

Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the U.S. which may require relocation at the end of the project.
