Job Description

At CoBank, our Senior Software Engineer supports the Informatica Data platform, which includes Informatica Master Data Management (MDM), Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), Axon (data governance), Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC). This position will install, administer and maintain these Informatica technologies. This position provides business hours and occasional after hours support for the MDM, IDQ, Axon & EDC implementation project as well as support the platform after go-live and provides technical direction and guidance to developers and technical analysts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Leads the installation and configuration Informatica platform (MDM, IDQ, Axon & EDC products), in partnership with CoBank IT, vendor professional services and system integrator partnerships.
* Partner's and supports Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team to ensure technology is supporting current and long-term data capabilities across the organization.
* Partners with Enterprise Architecture team to ensure the data platform architecture is implemented and maintained according to best practices.
* Collaborates with Developers, Technical Analysts and Architects on the Data Platform Team to support these technologies.
* Works closely with vendor (Informatica) to troubleshoot and address issues according to best practice.
* Supports application and infrastructure vulnerability and patch management processes.
* Working with Enterprise Security, validates vulnerability remediation by reviewing application updates or deployed mitigations to verify resolution.
* Work with Infrastructure team and Informatica to ensure security certificates are installed and maintained
* Recommends and documents standards, processes and procedural updates needed to support the Informatica data platform.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or relevant discipline.
* Six (6) to Ten (10) years of relevant experience in information technology, preferably in the banking or financial services industry; or appropriate combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

* Advanced experience in Informatica administration as a developer and an administrator, including installation, upgrades, and security maintenance within the tool.
* Advanced experience in administration of data platform technologies (i.e. MDM, Quality, Lineage, Data Catalog)
* Intermediate experience in relational databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server) and dimensional database models.
* Intermediate knowledge of Linux, Windows batch and/or UNIX shell scripting.
* Intermediate knowledge of Software Design Lifecycle (SDLC) and system design/implementation methodologies.
* Experience in banking or financial services industry.
* Intermediate knowledge of Source Code Control tools such as PVCS, Visual Source Safe, GIT or Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
* Intermediate knowledge of automated job scheduling tools such as Control-M or Autosys and Unix.
* Intermediate experience with one or more Business Intelligence reporting tools (e.g. Cognos, Tableau).
