About the team

FIS's award-winning Astec Analytics solutions deliver global intraday rate and volume information on securities lending transactions as well as analytics and benchmarking tools for trading, performance measurement and program management to institutions involved in investment management and securities finance.

What you will be doing

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products.
* Interacts with product owners/business analysts and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
* Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
* Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
* Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
* Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

* Knowledge of financial services industry
* COBOL85/SCOBOL experience on an HP NonStop mainframe highly desired
* Experience with agile development life cycle a plus
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization
* Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills
* Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed
* Positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsive to internal and external clients and contacts

Added bonus if you have:

* Experience with HP NonStop is preferred but not required
* Knowledge of Securities Lending would be ideal
* IBM, CICS, DB2 and VSAM experienced are needed
