Job Summary

Software Engineer with experience to build and maintain integrations for multiple on premises and cloud applications. Must be capable of understanding business requirements, working with multiple teams, developing and deploying middleware integrations, which involves Java/J2EE, Gateway, ESB, Web Services/REST APIs and Micro Services.

Essential Job Functions

* Is responsible for the conceptual design of business applications
* Mentors lower level colleagues
* Performs impact analysis of application changes across various components, holding an end-to-end view of the system
* Specifies / Recommends Integration and Parallel testing criteria
* Understands customers' processes and products and how they fit within the goals of the business unit
* Reviews and validates the detailed technical design for business applications provided by the supplier to ensure alignment with business requirements
* Validates suppliers estimates
* Estimates Rough Order of Magnitude for the level of effort/cost of new application functionality
* Performs quality review checks on project deliverables
* Acts as liaison between Business and IT, as assigned Supports users in building Business Case, including cost / benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope, and development of a high level plan
* Supports the implementation activities, troubleshooting system environmental issues, training as required

Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience.

Experience Requirements

* Minimum 5 years' experience with full lifecycle project development for Java/J2EE Applications
* Must have working experience in building SOAP/REST based API's/ Web Services.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to work and support multiple projects in a shared services environment.
* Ability to work independently with minimal direction. Should be a self-starter with strong initiative, and ability to manage/execute workload to deliver high quality results.
* Experience in agile projects a plus, but not mandatory.

Special Skill Requirement

* Demonstrate strong knowledge of dealing with multiple message or file formats including XML, XSD, JSON, XPATH, XSLT among others.
* Strong experience in Web service core standards like HTTP,HTTPS, WSDL, SOAP and REST.
* Experience in Continuous integration and Continuous deployment using Maven, Jenkins, and GitHub.
* Experience in JDBC, JMS, MQ, SQL, JUnit, SOAP UI and Postman.
* MuleSoft integration platform experience is highly preferred. Other API platform experience considered.
