Senior Software Engineer

We're seeking a self-starter Senior Software Engineer, who is willing and able to "roll up your sleeves", as well as lead by example.

JOB SUMMARY

Our Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and deploying solutions for our employees and clients. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the customization and configuration of standard and non-standard components required to meet business requirements in a very high quality. Must be able to communicate well with clients who have varying technical abilities, as well as with staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Responsible for developing solutions that will leverage JavaScript, AJAX, JAVA, Angular, React and other technologies.
* Responsible for developing components required to meet business in a very high quality.
* Develop custom code using Visualforce, APEX, Java, including development of SOAP and REST interfaces to build customized solutions supporting business initiatives/processes
* Implement best practices by designing, developing, testing, document, and deploying high quality and maintainable technical solutions
* Lead release management efforts, including migration of data and build across environments, and resolving production issues

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:

* BS or MS in computer science or equivalent program from an accredited University or College
* Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, other)
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in engineering as a senior contributor
* Minimum 3+ years of at least one programming language, such as JavaScript, Java, C#, PHP, Apex
* Minimum 3+ years of experience with web services (SOAP or REST)
* Salesforce experience preferred. This includes development of custom code using Visualforce, APEX, JAVA, as well as developments of SOAP and REST interfaces to build customized solutions supporting business initiatives/processes.
* Experience with SFDX, APEX, VisualForce, SOQL. Salesforce developer certifications are preferred.
* Proven experience in producing products built using VisualForce with custom Apex page controllers and controller extensions
* Must have experience with distributed development teams

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Knowledge of ambulatory healthcare operations, including referrals, scheduling, registration, check-in, insurance and patient billing operations, patient encounters, checkout, and medical records processes
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and coordinate team members and system users
* Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality within the position
* Track record of providing excellent customer service
* Excellent time and task management skills
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete work under pressure of deadlines and resource constraints
* Ability to manage day-to-day responsibilities with minimal supervision
* Able to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced diverse high-performance environment
* Strong self-initiative, passion, interpersonal skills, and adaptability to new technologies

Physical Requirements:

* Frequent speaking and listening (25-75%) to clients, staff, and others in the workplace.
* Visual and auditory ability to work with staff and others in the workplace continuously.
* Ability to utilize computer, cell phone (iPhone), fax machine, telephone and copy machine.
* Frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.
* Must be able to communicate effectively within the workplace, read and write using the primary language within the workplace.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

* Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.
* Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
* Must attend any ESBA required training.
