Senior Software Engineer (Device Monitoring)

Description:

Mocana is hiring a talented senior engineer to join our small and very motivated team to learn, influence, and potentially reinvent our security technologies and processes.

Responsibilities:

* The Senior Engineer will be responsible for developing code in C and Java based on RFCs and functional specification documents
* Participate in ongoing product sustenance and code reviews

Requirements:

* Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
* 5+ years of software development experience in C or Java
* Expertise in Linux OS internals and IMA
* Knowledge of SIEM/CEF based event logging a plus
* Experience in designing an endpoint firewall a plus
* SNMP knowledge a plus
* Experienced in build and release management
* Knowledge of Makefile, Git, JIRA is a plus
* Experience executing tasks as part of an Agile/SCRUM team
* Knowledge of networking/security protocols
* Positive attitude and team player to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment
