Software Engineers (SE) at Laserfiche operate in cross-functional product teams building, refining and implementing solutions that are well-tested, easily maintained, and built with an understanding of its users' needs. Senior Software Engineers (SEs) at Laserfiche are engineers who lead by example helping teams build great software through excellent craftsmanship, iteration, adaptation, and testing. You possess continuous learning and improving mentality with several years of experience which enables you to solve a wide range of issues in creative ways. You are able to mentor and coach junior members of the team and take a leadership stance on innovations that could improve yours and other product areas as well.

About the Capture Area:

We are currently in the Information Age, and data is accumulating at ever faster rates. Our customers need to capture that data from multiple sources, e.g. paper, cameras, PDFs, electronic forms, they also need to extract the key data from those documents. Due to the sheer volume of data users require not only capture but intelligent capture. Intelligent capture involves extracting the key data from documents without user configuration so that searches can be performed, or reports generated. Intelligent capture also encompasses compensating for imperfections in the documents without user intervention, whether it's something as simple as an upside-down page or something as complex as a blurry image of a document. As a member of the Capture Team, you will be at the forefront of exploring this new age.

What You'll Need:

* 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer working on teams that build and ship public-facing software.
* Previous deep hands-on programming experience with the following programming languages: C/C++, C#
* 3+ years of management experience (including experience hiring, managing performance and mentoring)
* Experience with unit testing and TDD; test, build and deploy automation

Preferred Skills:

* Familiarity with the following technologies: COM, WinForms, WPF, SQL
* Familiarity with microservice architectures(especially using .NET)
* Experience with creating RESTful APIs
* Experience with modernizing legacy software systems
