Senior Software Engineer

As a Capital One Software Engineer, you'll work on everything from customer-facing web and mobile applications using cutting-edge open source frameworks, to highly-available RESTful services, to back-end systems using the hottest techniques in Big Data. You will drive the design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-release support in an agile application development environment. You will execute on engineering and release priorities successfully through strong leadership and communication. Whether a bug fix or an awesome feature, you will own your work and deliver the most elegant and scalable solutions.

* Passionate about intuitive and engaging user interfaces, as well as new/emerging concepts and techniques in web design.
* Understanding in building efficient database and search engine queries.
* Knows how to drive development of products by providing the right technical guidance to the team.
* Knowledge of Machine Learning Techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks).
* Experience working with and creating data architectures.
* Experience using statistical computer languages to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
* At least 3 years' of experience in Software Development.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 1 year of experience of front-end and back-end development using Python and Django framework, Java, JavaScript, Angular, and Ruby.
* 1 year of experience developing RESTful web services (APIs).
* 1 year of experience working with Agile/Scrum development methodology.
* 1 year of experience in Angular
* 1 year of experience in HTML5 and CSS.
* 1 year of experience with Microservices architecture and development.
* 1 year of experience in AWS (EC2, RDS, Clusters, Auto-scaling groups, CFT, Dockers and Containers).
