The National Solutions Operation at Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior Software Developer in Herndon, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience and provide support to the Department of Defense. This position is for a motivated individual looking to expand their career in software development with an existing high performing software development team. The candidate should be familiar with the development of web-based software solutions with web services or GUI design, development, configuration management, test and deployment. Experience with .NET ecosystem (ASP.net, C#, MS SQL) is a must. Applicant should be able to perform engineering activities which include, defining software system requirements, developing technical solutions, installing and configuring of software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Position will be to design, implement, and debug new software functionality for an application which is currently in the .NET ecosystem (ASP.net, C#, MS SQL).

Basic Qualifications:

* Minimum of 8 years of software development experience
* US citizenship and an Active TS/SCI Clearance required. Candidate may also be required to successfully complete a CI Polygraph.
* Must have experience in designing, coding, modify and debugging of web applications
* Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Candidates must be proficient in one the following: .Net, C#
* Experience with programing that interfaces with enterprise databases like MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL and Postgres

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree and advanced degree
