THE POSITION

At the heart of BlackBerry Cylance Product Development is an artificial intelligence-based threat detection system. Unlike traditional approaches, BlackBerry Cylance does not rely solely on signatures or even pre-determined behaviors to determine if something is known to be good or bad. Instead, we have developed a mathematical approach to identifying advanced threats. This intelligent system evolves in real-time as new threats emerge, providing continuous detection.

Your expertise will contribute to a powerful endpoint product that uses minimal resources while preventing the most advanced malware and zero-day attacks from ever even running.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

* Comprehensive debugging and root cause investigations for web application issues
* Build enterprise environments to reproduce issues and to assess the compatibility of our products within the different configurations of these environments
* Work with the development and test team to help define and maintain quality standards
* Write automated test cases using Python to ensure regressions do not occur with new releases
* Write and execute test plans, test cases from user stories, workflows and specifications

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

* 6+ years of Software Testing experience
* Ability to debug low-level process issues
* Strong Programming and software design skills in Python, C# or other OO language
* Experience working with black-box and white-box testing methodologies
* Advanced problem-solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills
* A strong passion for improving software quality
* Intellectual curiosity, humility, accountability and positive approach
* Solid understanding of distributed source code control systems such as Git
* Some amount of experience using SQL for test data verification or production datamining purposes

ABOVE AND BEYOND

* Windows and macOS internals knowledge
* Selenium experience
* Information security experience
* Performance and stress testing experience
