Job Description

Collab is an independent digital content studio. Since our launch in 2012, Collab has amassed one of the largest cross-platform content networks, working with and supporting a small group of the most successful content creators across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and other platforms. In September 2018, ComScore started tracking Collab and immediately recognized it as a top 10 YouTube partner. Collab's content generates nearly seven billion video views every month.

Until 2018, our products have been written in Ruby on Rails, including our flagship "Dashboard" app. In 2018 we set out to innovate on design and interaction quality in our products. As a result, we are transitioning towards a React/Redux powered front-end with a Rails API back-end.

We are looking for an adaptable, hard-working software developer to help build and maintain our suite of products for content creators. You will be tasked with writing React components and building our next.js served react apps.

What You'll Do:

* Build new react applications
* Contribute to architecture discussions
* Review code of other developers
* Work closely with our design team to make sure there is clarity about each spec
* Ongoing collaboration through feature approval phase

What You'll Have:

* 2+ years of professional experience working with React/Redux
* 5+ years of professional web development experience
* Deep knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
* Basic experience and understanding of Ruby on Rails
* Knowledge of deployment, performance, debugging, refactoring, design patterns and other programming practices
* Stellar communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to interact with various internal stakeholders
