Job Description

TechTarget is seeking a rock star Senior SEO Strategist to join our Traffic, Search and Engagement Team. This individual will work as part of a team to monitor organic search engine performance on TechTarget websites and deliver insightful recommendations to improve search rankings, traffic, engagement and conversion. This position reports to the Director of SEO.

Essential Job Functions:

* Assess TechTarget website content after publication using a proprietary content assessment framework, using analytics and reporting to identify optimization improvements;
* Assess high-performing content that's declined in rankings or performance and provide optimization suggestions;
* Evaluate content pre-publication, prepare optimization recommendations;
* Handle the day-to-day management of some organic search engine optimization projects;
* Prepare feedback on areas of success and areas of improvement, discuss in monthly meetings;
* Measure and report on business impact of content and optimization projects (ROI);
* Work independently on all aspects of SEO, including research, strategy and implementation;
* Work with internal teams on off-page SEO
* Participate in webinars and workshops, events and conferences

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

* Bachelor's degree;
* 1-3 years of work experience in organic SEO or related field;
* Familiarity with search ranking factors, algorithm changes and critical updates;
* Basic understanding of social media, how social signals and social media campaigns influence search marketing;
* Experience with research, strategic planning or content development for organic search initiatives;
* Strong written and verbal communication skills;
* Intellectually curious, loves taking on new challenges and doesn't get rattled by change;
* Self-motivated and self-directed; however, thrives in a team and can take direction;
* Writing/editing experience, or knowledge of CMS a plus
* Familiarity with Google Analytics, a plus;
* Someone who doesn't take him or herself too seriously. A good sense of humor always a plus
