The Agent and Partner IT group is seeking an innovative and adaptable leader within our Global Retail Markets Technology team as a Senior Scrum Master for the Partner and Rater portfolio. We are looking for a leader who is excited about coaching self-organizing and self-managing teams in applying and optimizing our agile practices to enhance team performance and effectives. The Sr. Scrum Master be an agile coach to 8 squads; using your coaching and mentoring skills to help train, grow and mature the teams. You will leverage your collaboration and problem-solving ability to help remediate impediments impacting overall team health and delivery. Perhaps most importantly you will use your servant leadership capabilities and mindset to empower, energize and motivate the teams you support. This role will report to the Director, Partner & Rater Technology within the GRM U.S. Technology organization.

About the job:

Be the driver in a fast paced, challenging environment working with multiple Scrum and Kanban teams to ensure successful and timely delivery of business and technical objectives. Key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

* Operates as a team-based servant leader in service to the teams needs


* Ensures the team is practicing Agile ethics


* Coaches, mentors and provides guidance to scrum masters, squads and individuals


* Coach senior leaders, mangers, business partners and team through continued agile maturity


* Promotes continuous improvement by coaching, developing roadmaps to enhance agile maturity and leverage metrics to identify and measure progress


* Play a key role in defining the value streams within and across the organization


* Apply effective SAFe methodologies


* Facilitate continuous improvement and the development of a learning culture on teams


* Coordinate and enhances the portfolio agile process - refines, recommends and implements consistent process and tools for agile program management


* Identify emerging best practices and opportunities to help continuously advance agile methods and practices


* Provide scaling expertise to align multiple agile teams, collaborate and facilitate quarterly planning with large groups, manage portfolio backlog of epics and features, and facilitate decision making with product management, senior leaders and architects


* Direct the execution of agility health checks or assessments to ensure that mindsets, principles, and practices are being maintained. Guide leaders through interpretation of the outcomes and plan for action


* Remove impediments through provision of appropriate resources, guidance and escalation


* Collaborate with senior product owner and architecture team to ensure alignment on strategy and execution


* Work with Product Owners and team members to learn and practice healthy backlog management and prioritization practices



Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree
* 6 years of IT and project/program management and experience in agile software development including coaching on agile methodologies; SPC certification preferred


* 8 years in a leadership position, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience


* Solid coordination skills, ability to multitask and manage multiple teams in a cross-functional environment


* Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and team building skills, business judgment, and proven expertise in directing the efforts of a technical staff


* In-depth knowledge of business functions and understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives
