Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

Perspecta has an immediate need for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst - in Washington, DC

* With limited direction, carry out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet company and client standards and end-user requirements.
* Thoroughly test software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects and/or support testing as a witness to testing requirements.
* Review all documentation for completeness, accuracy and correctness.
* Organize and maintain all quality assurance documentation.
* Document all problems and work to resolve them.
* Report progress on problem resolution to management.
* Devise improvements to current procedures and develop models of possible future configurations.
* Perform work flow analysis and recommend quality improvements.
* Perform all functional duties independently.
* Work on high-visibility programs or mission critical aspects of assigned program(s).
* Oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or is responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

Qualifications

Required:

A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline is preferred.

* A minimum of ten (10) years' experience in software development, software quality assurance/control and/or related field.
* Ability to perform all functional duties independently on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of a given program.
* Oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
* Experience in training/mentoring less experienced personnel.
* Considerable knowledge and experience with verifying information systems products and services that meet applicable end user requirements and internal/external standards.
* Knowledge of and/or experience implementing one or more of the following Quality standards:
* Information Infrastructure Information Library (ITIL) 2011
* ISO 20000-1
* ISO 20000:2011
* ISO 9001 Quality Management,
* Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)
* Six Sigma Quality Management.


* Extensive experience testing software applications, identifying/documenting defects and working with developers and end users to resolve defects.
* Solid experience reviewing a broad range of technical documentation for completeness, accuracy and correctness.
* Strong experience authoring software-quality-related documentation such as requirements specifications, test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports.
* Experience with workflow analysis and process improvement.
* Excellent communication skills.
* To support business efforts, travel may be required.
