Provides direction and supervision for preparation of ICT - Telecommunications systems design drawings and specifications for new construction, existing facilities expansion, and renovation projects to Technology Designers. Provides site survey and system analysis for existing facilities and compiling reports for recommendations for improvement. Projects will be up to high complexity. Responsible for applying engineering fundamentals to designs of systems.

Responsibilities

* Obtains design data from documents, occupant interviews, and field measurements.
* Communication with internal staff, clients, and other consultants/disciplines.
* Identifies and applies appropriate design criteria, codes, standards, and best practices.
* Coordinates and oversees preparation of floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, riser diagrams, wireless design, site plans, and other drawings for complex structures.
* Compiles CSI specifications and contract documents.
* Performs field review of existing facilities to determine and verify relevant services and site layout, and to coordinate construction with plans and specifications.
* Responsible for overall system design, sizing and layout, selection of components for systems design.
* Responsible for preparation of cost estimates, contractor bid reviews, and coordination of new construction and renovation projects.
* Understands AutoCAD and BIM concepts sufficiently to direct drawing delivery.
* Mentor / train less experienced staff.
* Conflict resolution with internal staff, clients, and other consultants/disciplines.
* Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
* Performs contract administration and owner's representative functions as assigned for clients.
* Responsible for financial performance and internal budgeting of project and internal project teams.
* Responsible to interface with internal and external clients on a consistent basis; with client facing business acumen to maintain satisfactory client relationships.

Qualifications

* B.S. Engineering or equivalent work experience.

Certifications/Licenses:

* RCDD, CTS-D, CTS, CPP
