Job Description

Integrate and deliver the data into modern such as data lakes with a focus on data ingestion/acquisition, modeling and preparation processes

Work and collaborate closely with leading advisors, data architects, data scientists, software engineers and digital projects across multiple business areas in the company

Identify new Azure components based on requirements for new solutions and work with relevant teams for implementation

Responsible for creating and maintaining the architectures platforms that secure efficient data availability and accessibility for data scientists to perform analyses and gain business insight

Construct and maintain architectures from data acquisition and integration from various resources, transformation, quality and accessibility

Recommend and implement improvements for data acquisition, reliability, efficiency and quality

Work with database systems and data lake's utilizing data APIs, ETL tools, scripting languages to perform data modeling, cleaning and manipulation

Implementation of data governance from, storage technologies, virtualization technologies, API gateways to data catalog and data models

Data profiling and data analysis using emerging data technologies

Understand trends of data engineering and participate in technology assessments

Challenge established ways of working and ensure that standards, tools, technologies and work methods are developed, qualified and implemented

Work with Azure using ETL tools like Data Factory and Databricks to clean, model, manipulate and aggregate data

Qualifications

Experience in Data engineering and data architecture

Strong in database technologies, SQL, U-SQL, PL/SQL or T-SQL or NoSQL

Hands-on with ETL tools to clean, model, manipulate and aggregate data

Experience in programming in at least one of the following languages: C, C#, C++, Python or JAVA

Microsoft Azure technology stack for data engineering and service offerings is highly desired

Exposure to Data Pipelines and Data Streams, Data Service APIs

Knowledge of at least one or more of the following: AZURE ADF, Data Lake, SQL DW, Azure SQL, Azure App Service, CosmosDB, DataBricks

Understanding of at least one of the following - Web Services, SOAP, XML, Azure API Apps

Exposure to data visualization technologies (i.e.; Power BI, Spotfire,)

History working in Scrum/Agile/DevOps teams

3 or more years as an IT professional

Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications
